Bayberry Northern
(Zone 4) Semi-evergreen shrub with lustrous dark green leaves. Chalky blue waxy winter berries. Used to make bayberry candles. Fruit on females only. Fruit and foliage is fragrant. Salt tolerant and thrives in many soil and site conditions. Nitrogen fixing.
