MAY AND CHARLES BEESON FARM
PROTECTED BY CONSERVATION EASEMENT

May 21, 2009 – Harvard, IL –May and Charles started Beeson’s McHenry County Nursery on 120 acres outside of Harvard, Illinois. When May passed away the family was faced with distributing a large estate and paying estate taxes to boot. The Trustees decided that preserving the original farm with a Conservation Easement while allowing the Wholesale Nursery to continue to operate would give the beneficiaries the best solution. The Conservation Easement was donated to the Land Conservancy of McHenry County and will protect the farm from development in perpetuity as a legacy to the Nursery’s
